The company Cotton Fields Canvas, affectionately known as "The Fields", was founded by Geof Richardson, an architect of some 30 years experience and a published author and dabbler in all things artistic.
"The fields" has a simply mantra. We do not sell canvasses, we sell relationships. That is, we believe art and its many dimensions is a single defining factor of the nature of a society. As such, we have spent considerable time, effort and shackles in perfecting our canvasses to the exacting requirements of the artist fraternity so that each and every artist who creates on our spaces may have the appropriate potential to fully explore their artistic expression.
The original stated mandate and intention has, however, now expanded into the digital arena where the idea of printing photographic images onto the self same frame stretched genuine artist canvas has been explored, developed and indeed perfected. Digital images are no longer simply digital... they are now digital art!
Garth McKenzie (Art Director), who heads up the digital division studied Interior and Graphic Design and has been involved in the creative world for over 15 years dealing with interior designers and decorators, advertising agencies and many large corporate's, the likes of Nedbank, Discovery Health, the South African Post Office and Stryker.
